STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 477
Isaiah Chapter 66 concluded.
Finally, we are rounding off the book of Isaiah today. It’s has been an interesting journey so far.
The book of Isaiah has been the most powerful and quoted book referenced by the writers of the New Testament books. We all remembered that Jesus Himself cited some of His points from this amazing book.
What’s so special about the book of Isaiah?
Because it’s one of the major portions of the Scripture that extensively deals with God’s Salvation plan, the arrival of the Messiah, His death and resurrection and God’s judgement on the last day.
God’s anger is only against those who have rejected Him to follow after idols. Those who are disobedient and rebellious. Those whose works, mindset and thoughts do not reflect God’s nature in Christ. Those are the kind of people that would be eternally damned on the last day.
Let’s see how Isaiah describes them.
Isaiah 66:17-24 TPT
“The end is near for those who ‘consecrate’ and ‘purify’ themselves to enter their cultic groves! They go in procession one after another into their ceremonies. They eat disgusting foods-pork, mice, and rodents.
[18] I despise their evil works and their thoughts,” says Yahweh. “The time is coming for me to gather people together from all over the world, and they will come and gaze on my radiance.
Majority of those evil works can be found enumerated here by Paul in Galatians 5:19-21
Let’s continue with Isaiah 66.
[19] I will set an amazing sign among them. I will send some of the remnant to other nations-to Tarshish, Put, Lud (known for its archers), Tubal, Javan, and distant islands that have never heard of my fame nor gazed on my glory. They will declare my glory among the gentiles!
[20] And they will bring back from the nations your own people as an offering to me,” says Yahweh. “They will come on horseback, in chariots, in wagons, on mules and camels to my holy mountain, Jerusalem,” says Yahweh. “In the same way my people bring a grain offering in a sacred vessel to the temple, they will be brought as grain offerings to my holy mountain, Jerusalem, as a holy offering to me.
[21] And some of them I will appoint as Levitical priests,” says Yahweh.
Note: in verses 19-21, Prophet Isaiah was simply describing how the Gospel of Salvation is going to spread touching those nations mentioned such as Africa, Turkey, Greece and various distant lands and in proclaiming the Gospel, many souls will be won for God in Christ Jesus. That’s the meaning of bringing people back to God as an offering to Him – which is the result of mission work and evangelism.
[22] This is what Yahweh declares: “The new heavens and the new earth that I am making will remain and endure before me in the same way your offspring and your name will endure.
[23] From one Sabbath to the next, one month to the next, one year to the next, all humanity will come to worship me!
[24] “They will go out of the city and see the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me. For their worm will not die and their fire will never go out. And they will be abhorrent to humanity.”
These last verses as interpreted by many bible scholars to have been fulfilled either during the war that happened during the time of Maccabees; some saying it’s what would happen in the future wars and some saying it’s a description of what would happen in hell fire on the last day.
The bottom line question is that: are you on the Lord’s side? Are you saved? Have you been born of God in Christ Jesus? When that is settled and you keep on walking in that Light, then you have nothing to worry about regarding future disasters or hell fire.

However, because God that dwells in you is more powerful than any satanic power, I declare you are victorious over every satanic confrontation, offence and evil gang up, in Jesus name.
👉Begin to receive unusual grace to worship God, to pray and to study the Word. Every spirit of procrastination targeted against you is eliminated in Jesus name.
👉This is your season to be promoted to another higher level of success and great achievements, spiritually, financially, maritally and careerwise. You are unstoppable, in Jesus name.
