Good day Saints in Christ Jesus. You are all welcome to another new day. Glory to God for the gift of life.
In our today’s episode 547 of studying and understanding the Bible, we shall be looking into the book of Ezekiel Chapter 7 titled:
End Time Prophecies Are Being Fulfilled! Take Heed And Be Prepared
Looking at the word “moreover” in the beginning of this chapter, we will observe that it sets another scene for the continuation of the many prophecies already demonstrated in many theatrical ways by Ezekiel, reiterating the fact that the end was coming to the land of Israel. Remember they were warned severally, but each time of the warning messages, it’s either they attacked the messenger, or they totally disregarded the message or both.
Ezekiel was instructed to announce that the end was near for Israel to receive judgement. It was a pay back time for all their disgusting conducts that they refused to repent from. Remember, God’s judgement was against sin in their lives. Assuming they repented and renew their relationship with God, the calamities would have been averted. But then, they rebelled and kept on with their terrible acts. Consequently, the prophecies came to pass.
How?
From Israel’s many centuries of historical records in the Bible, we will discover that Jerusalem was invaded and many people taken into exile from around 605 BC by the Babylonian Army during the reign of King Jehoiakim and Jehoiachin (because Jehoiakim reigned from 609 till 598 BC and Jehoiachin reigned within the latter part of 598 for 3 months before he was bundled to Babylon). Thereafter, around 587 BC during the reign of Zedekiah, Jerusalem was invaded again but this time burnt down, and many more people taken away to Babylon. See 2Kings Chapter 25 for details.
This obviously confirms the many prophecies from Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel etc.
If you read Matthew Chapter 24, you will all see various signs of the end time that Jesus talked about and many of which have been fulfilled.
Lessons To Learn
Please note this! No one knows when that day and hour will come for the Messiah to return. Only God knows. So, if anyone is giving you dates, such person is either ignorant of the Word of God or he is deliberately leading you astray. All we need do is to be prepared.
The same way many prophets warned the people of old about God’s judgement against sin that they needed to repent and be saved, so also is the Word of the Lord coming to this generation about the need for everyone to be saved in order to avert the impending doomsday.
Just like it happened in the day of Noah, it happened during the reign of Jehoiachin and Zedekiah. The prophecies came to pass. So also, the prophecies of the end time are already coming to pass and the last thing that will happen will be the rapture and them judgement.
Remember, Jesus did all the hard work already. What’s left for you is to receive Him as your Lord and Saviour so that you can have a new relationship with the Father and be enlisted in the Lord’s Kingdom.
That’s why Jesus Himself said in His Word that we should preach that the Kingdom of God is here already. See Matthew 10:7
The question is, are you in that Kingdom? Remember, the end is near!
