Walking In Authority And Taking Charge; A Must Read

December 13, 2020 by ddmionline

Greetings to you all greatly beloved of God and welcome to another episode of our study of the Scriptures. We bless the name of the Lord God for His many blessings over us. Praise be to God! Happy Sunday to you all.

In our today’s episode 616, we shall be examining the theme for our December’s edition of Night of Prophetic Declarations titled:

Walking In Authority And Taking Charge; A Must Read

Before we conclude the book of Jonah, the Holy Spirit has been hammering it in my mind that I need to write a blog post about the theme for our December edition of night of prophetic declarations so we can enlighten and or remind ourselves about our true position in Christ Jesus as a believer, most especially as we are preparing to enter another new year. We cannot afford to remain on the same level. There is more that Christ has given us than what we are receiving.

In our walk with God in Christ, knowledge is very, very key.

Apostle Paul prayed some very powerful and Spirit-filled prayers for the people of Ephesus and the same prayer still applies to every believer today. If you want to move far in your walk with God, you need to be praying these prayers consistently.

The prayers can be found In Ephesians 1:17-20 and 3:14-19

And the focus of Paul’s prayers is that of knowing God through Christ intimately that the eyes of our understanding may be enlightened.

When you know who you are in Christ and what He can do through you, and you consistently operate in this reality, then you are already walking in that authority.

These prayers will enable you grow very fast in the knowledge of God’s rightly divided Word.

As a matter of facts, you can also insert the names of your family and friends, neighbours and those in your prayer list in these prayers and pray for them.

Remember we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

That is why we must constantly exercise our authority in Christ over these forces. Remember every believer is entitled to this authority. It’s was not allocated to some selected people. It belongs to everybody. Unfortunately, not everybody is using it.

And that’s why you must search out consistently everything that belongs to you in Christ, claim them and start deploying them for your spiritual benefits and for the benefits of other believers. If you do not study the Word, how will you know?

Now, what is this authority we have been talking about?

Let’s examine from some of the statements made by Jesus Christ Himself as written in Luke 10:18-20

18 Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground. 19 Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.

The Greek word used here for authority means the followings:

Sense of ability.

Force capacity

Mastery

Potentate token of control.

Delegated influence.

Jesus said it Himself that He had invested in us that delegated force capacity to control and dominate the activities of the devil and his cohorts.

When we stand firm on our feet and exercise this authority, the devil has no choice than to obey.

Remember that God Himself is the power behind our authority!

The moment you come to the place of knowledge that the power of God is backing you, then you will begin to boldly exercise it and overcome the devices of the devil.

Now that we know what authority is, how can we exercise it?

I am going to borrow the statement of a God’s General called Kenneth E. Hagin that says: “The door to exercising authority pivots upon two phrases Paul prayed for the Ephesians: “.. .and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” (Eph. 1:20), and “.. .hath raised us up together” (Eph. 2:6).

He said in his words that when we meditate on these two prayers and learn to pray them for ourselves. When we feed on their truths until they become a part of our inner consciousness. Then they will dominate our life. But don’t try to accept them mentally; you’ve got to get the revelation of them in your spirit.”

It is as simple as that: keep reading it, keep saying it until it settles in our subconscious mind.

Remember, what we do not practice or exercise, we cannot master it.

Christ has been seated in the place of authority and so are we. It therefore implies that what Christ can do, we can do it also.

In exercising our authority as believers, we must constantly array ourselves with whole armour of God as stated by Ephesians 6:10-11. And what are these amours?

They are listed in verses 14-18

14. Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart.

15 Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace.

16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One!

17-18 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers.

We as believers must take the benefits of the spiritual armour provided for us. When we do this, obviously the enemy will not be able to defeat us.

Receive the grace to continue to do all these, in Jesus name.

To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed.

Let’s pray:

I declare that our God, in His might begin to unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favour until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power, in Jesus name.

Receive the capacity to constantly use your faith as the life of Christ is being released deep inside of you, and as the resting place of His love has become the very source and root of your life, in Jesus name.

I wrap you all up with the whole armour of God and I command whatever that is not giving glory to God that is manifesting in your household, begin to bow out right now and be rendered useless, in Jesus name.

Bible Readings For Today: Zechariah Chapters 7 to 14 with Isaiah Chapters 51 to 53.

I call you blessed now and always.
