Studying and Understanding the Bible – Part 400

May 1, 2020 by ddmionline

Good morning Believers in Christ Jesus.
We give glory to God for the gift of another brand new day in another brand new month, we thank God for the privilege of life and for God’s unending mercy and grace upon us always. Praise God!

Happy New Month and welcome to MAY.

The Book of Isaiah Chapter 33

Yesterday, we looked into verse one, which contains Isaiah’s prophecy about what would befall Assyrian Armies, because of his insatiable plundering spree of nations, which he also planned to do same to Judah.

Hearing about that prophetic message in verse one, Isaiah (with God’s people) then prayed for speedy fulfilment from verse 2.

Now, they have started to rely on God again. Now they believe only God could save them from the Assyrians and not Egyptian chariots and horses.

Let’s read some of their prayers…

Isaiah 33:2-5
[2]O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Note: we must learn to wait upon God, involving Him in all our plans and decisions. He knows the right path and He will always lead us through making the right decisions. Our hearts must be in sync with Him always.

[3]At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.

[4]And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

Note: in verses 3&4 above, Isaiah was already speaking into existence what he wanted as the outcome of God’s deliverance for His people. Even though it had not yet happened when these prayers were offered, but he was praying from a victory position.

Every believer must learn to pray from victory position claiming all God’s promises for your life.

[5]The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

Never forget to always thank God and appreciate Him believing that He had heard your prayers.

Make this part and parcel of you in this new month. Be optimistic, be positive, believe and have the mindset that you have survived this period already and definitely, you will continue to live victoriously.

To be continued…Praise God.

Our prayers for everyone on this platform:

👉I declare by the authority in the name of Jesus, the Lord God Almighty will continue to be your constant source of stability especially in changing and challenging times, in Jesus name.

👉Out of God’s abundant love, you will continue to enjoy the riches of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge that you have in Christ.

👉May everyone on this platform continue to have the fear of God in all we do, in Jesus name.

Remember, the fear of the Lord is the key to His treasure!

Bible readings for today: Judges Chapters 13, 14 & 15 with Proverbs 18

I call you blessed now and always.
