Another Promise of Hope Revealing Great And Wonderful Things

September 2, 2020 by ddmionline

Good day People of God in Christ Jesus. You are all welcome to another new day. Glory to God for the gift of life.

In our today’s episode 523 of studying and understanding the Bible, we shall be examining Jeremiah Chapter 33 titled:

Another Promise of Hope Revealing Great And Wonderful Things

Here is another promise of hope given to Jeremiah while he was still being detained in the courtyard prison.

God told Jeremiah the need for him to keep on praying as answers to his prayers are already guaranteed. God said He would tell him wonderful and marvellous things that he knows nothing about.

The truth is that God has been desiring to communicate with man. He did that with Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden. Unfortunately, the communication link was broken by sin and man became separated from God.

Since then, man has been trying every means to get back into the relationship. One major thing mankind tried using to see if they could reconnect with God was religion. Unfortunately, religion didn’t work.

So, God said He was going to show Jeremiah something wonderful – a better plan. What is the detail of this wonderful things that God wanted to reveal to Jeremiah?

Well, it’s the same revelation that God has been revealing to every old testament prophet.

You will find it in verse 15 and 16 where God said He would choose as King a righteous descendant of David. That King will do what is right and just and the people of Judah would be rescued and live in safety and His reign will spread across the face of the earth.

That is the climax of the various promises of restoration we have read so far from this chapter and from other prophetic books, especially Isaiah. Prophet Isaiah dwell more on this subject of the Messiah than any prophet of the Bible.

The promise is talking about the fulfilment of the New Covenant in Christ.

The descendant of David mentioned is the Christ, because when He manifested in human form, He chose the lineage of David (Jesse’s son).

What will this King bring?

The Bible says, He would bring “Righteousness” which is the direct opposite of what is obtainable from the old covenant. So, in essence, Chapter 33 is talking about the figurative description of the coming of the Messiah.

So, God wanted Jeremiah to keep on praying, calling upon God for more revelation of this great plan of God. The truth is, prayer activates revelation. If you want to know a man who will move far with God, it’s a man of prayer. That’s why God told Jeremiah to keep praying and not give up because answers to his prayers are already guaranteed.

There are so many wonderful and great things God has been willing to reveal to you and you can only have access to them when you pray and also study His Word. Will you put more effort in doing that? Now, communication line is open and God is waiting…dial the number now!

To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed.

Let us pray:

  • I declare your prayer life begin to receive brand new fire to scorch the camp of the enemies and bring the devil and his minions on their knees, because the bible says at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee bows. Continue to operate in this authority, in Jesus name.
  • The Spirit of the living God will quicken your entire being and energize you for mountain top life. A life of Holiness, a life of victory, a life of dominion, receive this now, in Jesus name.
  • To some men of God reading this, I join my faith with yours and I declare, the Lord God will ignite your calling with his fire of revival and connect you with serious ministry partners that will promote the Gospel of Christ with their substances, in Jesus name.
