The disaster that befell the Israelites were actually caused by their stubbornness and disobedience and not by God. God knew about this from the beginning and that’s why He sent His Prophet to warn them ahead. Did they listen to him?
Right there in the furnace of the fire of adversity caused by Israelites disobedience and stubbornness, God preserved His people. He showed them mercy and didn’t allow them to face more than they could bear.
It’s so unfortunate that the Israelites who were supposed to know better, were busy carrying religious images without any spiritual reality.
This Chapter is about an ode that Prophet Isaiah wrote to describe the fall of Babylon…
We must always remember that God knows the end of everything from the beginning and that He is in total control of the whole situation.
Keeping this in mind will help us in navigating the journey of our life with God successfully.
Isaiah continues in verse three to let God’s people know another major reason we can’t compare the true God with those small gods which was:
Those small gods could be carried by either hands or carts or wagons but the true God cannot be carried in that manner.
On the contrary, He was the one carrying His people.
…we need to also note that both good and evil are not rivals. They are not in opposite; evil cannot compete with good…
What Isaiah means here is that God is invisible and can only be related with in Spirit and truth, because He is a Spirit Being, you can’t see Him. Yet, He is so powerful that He manifests Himself in the life of every human being…
If God does not tempt people with evil, where then does evil come from?
