STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 456
Isaiah Chapter 56 concluded
The remaining part of Isaiah Chapter 56 was addressed to the greedy leaders of Judah.
Let’s read more of what Isaiah says in his prophecies concerning them.
Isaiah 56:9-12
[9]All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
[10]His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Note: This is a very serious matter. Isaiah must have been fed up with the behaviour of those evil and corrupt leaders of Judah, who according to his prophecies, they have become spiritually blind and deaf that even if God would reveal anything to them, they would not see or hear it.
Prophet Isaiah is seen here inviting wild beasts to come and devour them.
It was just a figurative expression to announce the judgement coming upon them because of their hard heartedness in greed and corruption.
[11]Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Note: they already lost there spiritual discernment and have indulged in drunkenness.
[12]Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
This is still happening today not only among the Jews but all over the world.
We have them in politics, religious settings and marketplaces.
The prophecy is also describing the unprepared world even including churches all over the world.
No one is even thinking of the coming of the Messiah anymore. People are now tired of studying and practising the Word of God.
End time spirit has entered into many lives and prevented them from seeing the reality of the coming of The Messiah.
We are indeed living in the era of corrupt people and unprepared world.

I hope you are still as vibrant as before when you newly received Christ?
I hope your prayer life is still as serious as it was when you started and by now it should be increasing not reducing.
I hope you are not among those being tossed back and forth by winds of wrong doctrines from corrupt religious leaders?
This is the time we need to take our stand as believers and be serious with our spiritual life.
