Heaven: The Believer’s Prayer??

July 3, 2020 by ddmionline

Why making heaven is not a prayer point, but a gift given by God to those who are genuinely saved. Don’t argue it. Simply study the Scriptures.

Good morning Believers in the finished work of Christ. We thank God for the privilege of life and for His unending love and grace upon us all. Welcome to another brand new day.

STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – SPECIAL EDITION.

This is a special edition of our daily devotional. We will continue with the book of Isaiah tomorrow by God’s grace.

Let’s pay attention to this…

If truly you are born again, if truly you are a believer in the finished work of Christ, the Messiah, then you have no problem making heaven.

It’s not even a prayer point. It’s an eternal promise with full assurance. Something that Christ has perfected already. You have been sealed by the Holy Spirit – eternally secured.

However, what you should focus on is your work/service on earth. How you fulfil God’s purpose on earth. Why? Because, eternal life is a gift given by God to those who believe at Salvation. You didn’t work for it. It was given to every Believer through faith in Christ and God cannot take it away from you. No power of darkness can snatch you away from God to dump you in hell fire. Hell fire is meant for the devil and those who reject God’s offer of Salvation.

Romans 8:37-39
[37]Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

[38]For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

[39]Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Okay, what about those backsliding and renouncing their faith in Christ Jesus?

All those renouncing their Salvation were never saved in the first place. They were never part of us. If they were, they would have remained. God knew their hearts that they were mere pretenders.

Look at what the Bible says about such people:
1 John 2:19 TPT
For even though they were once a part of us, they withdrew from us because they were never really of our number. For if they had truly belonged to us they would have continued with us. By leaving our community of believers they made it obvious that they never really belonged to us.

The truth is: As a true believer, you have been sealed eternally…
Ephesians 1:11-13
[11]In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

[12]That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

[13]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

HOWEVER, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS:

Your work on earth will be tested. Your service on earth will be tested on the last day. If you pass, then you will be rewarded, but if your work fails that test, you will suffer loss but you yourself will be saved and escape like someone rescued from a burning house.

So, be mindful of how you build on Christ’s solid foundation. If you use wrong materials (carnality due to the pressures from this physical body we are putting on), it will cause your work to fail the test. So, we must all be careful.

This is where consecration and perseverance comes in, which produces a life of holiness. We must persevere to ensure we satisfactorily deliver a very good report about our lives and service on the last day.

That’s what Apostle means when he says:
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 TPT
For that reason, I don’t run just for exercise or box like one throwing aimless punches, [27] but I train like a champion athlete. I subdue my body and get it under my control, so that after preaching the good news to others I myself won’t be disqualified.

Paul is seen here using a metaphorical expression (an athlete running) to describe the way he subjected the desires of his body under the control of the Holy Spirit in his service for God. So that his service would not fail the test mentioned in 1Cor 3:12-15 on the last day.

Therefore, the way you treat that neighbour matters to God. The way you handle that position matters to God. They way you manage both spiritual and material resources entrusted to you matters to God. The way you treat your body matters to God. A true believer lives a disciplined life like an athlete.

If you are faithful with that which you already have, God will entrust you with more and on the last day, you will be greatly rewarded during testing.

So, stop using wrong doctrine to build upon the foundation of Salvation brokered by Christ.

God’s work can only be done God’s only Way.

Be inspired by Apostle Paul’s letter here:

1 Corinthians 3:11-12,15 TPT
For no one is empowered to lay an alternative foundation other than the good foundation that exists, which is Jesus Christ!

[12] The quality of materials used by anyone building on this foundation will soon be made apparent, whether it has been built with gold, silver, and costly stones, or wood, hay, and straw. Their work will soon become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by blazing fire! And the fire will test and prove the workmanship of each builder.

[15] If his work is consumed by the fire, he will suffer great loss. Yet he himself will barely escape destruction, like one being rescued out of a burning house.

Our Prayers for everyone on this platform:

👉You will not fail God in your work and service for God and humanity on the last day, in Jesus name.

👉The grace to persevere till the end to be fully rewarded, the Lord God will grant unto everyone reading this message, in Jesus name.

👉Every resource needed to fulfil your purpose on earth, receive them. Your life will not be cut short. You will keep on winning in all ramifications, in Jesus name.

Bible readings for today:
Luke Chapters 13, 14 & 15 with Ecclesiastes Chapter 2.

I call you blessed now and always.
