Studying and Understanding the Bible – Part 430

June 1, 2020 by ddmionline

Good morning Saints in Christ Jesus.
We give glory to God for the gift of another new day, we thank God for the privilege of life and for His unending mercy and grace upon us always. Praise God!

Happy Sunday to you all.

STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 430

Still in Isaiah Chapter 45..

We have learned from yesterday’s study about how God is not the author of evil. He is a good God always.

Evil happens to people when they are led astray by the devil. James 1 gives us this clarity.

We need to also note that both good and evil are not rivals. They are not in opposite. Evil cannot compete with good.

Just like darkness cannot compete with light. Lies cannot compete with the Truth.

Darkness happens as a result of absense of light.

Evil happens as a result of man’s disobedience and rebellion against God.

That’s why Isaiah goes further to enjoin his audience not to argue with their creator or rebel against God in verse 9 and 10 using clay and potter as descriptions.

Isaiah 45:9-10 TPT
Shame on the one who argues with his Creator, like one clay pot among other pots arguing with the potter. Should the clay say to the potter, ‘What in the world are you doing with me? Your hands are clumsy’?

[10] Shame on the one who complains to a father, ‘Why in the world did you conceive me?’ Or to a mother, ‘Why in the world did you bring me to birth?'”

More specifically, Isaiah also warns those trying to question what God is doing through Cyrus – using a Gentile King to liberate the Jews.

This probably raised some questions among his audience and then he made them realise when God has decided to do something, no one can query Him.

After all, He is the God of all humanity and He loves mankind equally.

Isaiah 45:12-13 TPT
I created the earth and populated it with people. With my own hands, I spread out the cosmos and then commanded the starry host to shine!

[13] I am the one who raised him up in righteousness! I will make all his paths straight and level. He will build my city and release my exiled people, not because he was bribed or hired to do it, declares the Almighty Yahweh!”

Note: Isaiah refers to Cyrus here…

So, with God, there is no discrimination or favouritism. Read Acts 10.

To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed…Praise God.

Prayers:

👉God has decided that it’s time for you to fulfil His agenda on earth. I declare, He will make available to you all the resources you need for that assignment to come to fruition, in Jesus name.

👉Every satanic power challenging God’s authority and providence in your life and family is silenced completely, in Jesus name.

Bible readings for today: Reflection time on all the Chapters you have read so far from the past six days and covering of missed Chapters.

I call you blessed now and always.
