He committed no offence, we did. He didn’t deserve to die but we did. Nevertheless, because of His Love for us He took our punishment and died in our place.
He was mocked, ridiculed, spit at, flogged, made to carry a heavy wood (the cross), over a long journey and nailed to that cross……

These last verses as interpreted by many bible scholars to have been fulfilled either during the war that happened during the time of Maccabees; some saying it’s what would happen in the future wars and some saying it’s a description of what would happen in hell fire on the last day…

God shines His Light (Salvation) upon the heart of men to break shackles, chains and filthiness of sin and liberate them into His divine nature – a new nature of God, an eternal Life of splendor….
Darkness covering the earth represents the people without the knowledge of God all over the world and the moment the Light of the knowledge of God comes upon them just like it came upon us, they would be saved and liberated (rise and shine)…
“This is also happening today, where we see a lot of fake believers and “gods of men” claiming to work for God, but inwardly their hearts are far away from God… “
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive…
“It is only those who are ungrateful and don’t know what they are doing that will continue to live in sin despite the huge sacrifice God did for us in Christ Jesus…”
