The Imagery of God’s Beautiful Throne Revealed Here In Chapter 1

September 20, 2020 by ddmionline

Good day People of God in Christ Jesus. You are all welcome to another new day. Glory to God for the gift of life. Happy Sunday to you all.

In our today’s episode 541 of studying and understanding the Bible, we shall be looking into the book of Ezekiel Chapter 1 titled:

The Imagery of The Throne Of God Revealed Here In Chapter 1

Recall that in 2Kings 24:14, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon carried off to Babylon a total of 10,000 Jews, among which is King Jehoiachin himself and Prophet Ezekiel. This happened as a fulfilment of the various prophecies pronounced by Isaiah, Jeremiah, and other prophets in the Bible, which was also corroborated by Ezekiel himself.

It was in exile that Ezekiel was commissioned to begin his prophetic journey. To really assure him of being called into the prophetic ministry, God gave him a very powerful and extra-ordinary vision of the glory of God in form of four living creature ushered into the scene by a strong flashing lightening.

The imagery of the four living creatures was simply to help Ezekiel understand the various dimensions of spiritual growth in ministry. It also helps to understand the connection that exist among the five-fold ministry (which technically speaking is actually a four-fold ministry).

In my next post, I will be dealing with the spiritual meaning of these different dimensions for better understanding.

Also notice that Ezekiel gave the time of this powerful encounter as the thirtieth year.

There have been a lot of opinions as to what year Ezekiel was referring to here.

First of all, the statement “In the thirtieth year” mentioned in verse 1 does not clearly tell us it’s referring to Ezekiel’s age.

However, if we read the instruction that God gave Moses in Numbers 4:3 that whoever that wanted to work for God in the temple or tabernacle among the levites, must be at least 30 years of age and now that Ezekiel mentioned thirtieth year, many Bible scholars have agreed that he could be talking about his age.

Nevertheless, there have been some other scholars too who opined that the date was referring to the time that Josiah renewed the covenant of serving God with the people of Judah in 2 Kings 22, but there were no enough evidences to back this up. So majority of Bible scholars went with Ezekiel’s age.

Please note, when God is calling someone into ministry work, He always back it up with a powerful sign. Your spiritual heaven must open to dish out revelation knowledge that will prepare you for the new assignment.

Remember, when Jesus was about to begin His ministry, after He was baptised, heaven opens and He was immediately endorsed by God Himself. Luke 9:35

To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed.

Let us pray:

I declare your spiritual heaven will open and your life will continue to radiate the glory of God in all ramifications, in Jesus name.

I declare God will continue to reveal Himself to you and your household for you to know Him better as each new day passes by, in Jesus name.

I declare every clog that the devil may want to program into the wheel of your progress and achievements in life, such clogs are destroyed completely, in Jesus name.

This new week, you will encounter new testimonies. New amazing opportunities will locate you. Receive the capacity to recognise and receive them, in Jesus name.
