The Sacrificial Death of Christ

June 20, 2020 by ddmionline

Good day Beloved of God in Christ Jesus.
We give glory to God for the gift of another new day, we thank God for the privilege of life and for His unending mercy and grace upon us always. Praise God!

STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 449

Isaiah Chapter 53 concluded…

Today we shall further look into the series of humiliations that the Messiah faced on our behalf. Let’s read from verse 7…

Isaiah 53:7-9 TPT
He was oppressed and harshly mistreated; still he humbly submitted, refusing to defend himself. He was brought like a gentle lamb to be slaughtered. Like a silent sheep before his shearers, he didn’t even open his mouth.

Note: if pay close attention to the way Jesus Christ was killed, it was like slaughtering a helpless lamb.

John the Baptist made mention of His sacrificial death here in John 1:29

[29]The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Not only John. Even Apostle Paul wrote about it here in 1Cor. 5:7-8

[7]Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

[8]Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

It is only those who are ungrateful and don’t know what they are doing that will continue to live in sin despite the huge sacrifice God did for us in Christ Jesus.

Like Paul instructed, our lives must reject every form of wickedness and embrace sincerity and truth in every way.

Let’s continue with Isaiah…

[8] By coercion and with a perversion of justice he was taken away. And who could have imagined his future? He was cut down in the prime of life; for the rebellion of his own people, he was struck down in their place.

[9] They gave him a grave among criminals, but he ended up instead in a rich man’s tomb, although he had done no violence nor spoken deceitfully.

The above prophecies were fulfilled in Matthew 27:38; Mark 15:27 and also in Luke 15:32.

He was actually crucified with thieves.

Then finally after all of these sufferings and eventual sacrificial death might have passed, then comes The Resurrection…

Prophet Isaiah coded it as “Light”

Isaiah 53:11-12 TPT
After the great anguish of his soul, he will see light and be fully satisfied. By knowing him, the righteous one, my servant will make many to be righteous, because he, their sin-bearer, carried away their sins

[12] So I, Yahweh, will assign him a portion among a great multitude, and he will triumph and divide the spoils of victory with his mighty ones- all because he poured out his life-blood to death. He was counted among the worst of sinners, yet he carried sin’s burden for many and intercedes for those who are rebels.

The above Prophecies have been fulfilled. He has shared the spoils of His victory with us as Believers and He has even made it a point of duty to intercede for us so that the devil can no longer have anything against us. Paul confirms this…

Romans 8:33-35
[33]Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

[34]Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

[35]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

To be continued…Praise God.

Our prayers for everyone on this platform: By the authority in the name of Jesus Christ,

👉Every voice of accusation against you is silenced, in Jesus name.

👉Begin to take possession of all the spoils of Christ Victory for your redemption, in Jesus name.

👉This day, amazing opportunities will locate you and you will greatly rejoice.
